Snake Guy

Our supervillain's name is Snake Guy. He has lots of weapons like his snake taser and his other guns his snake gun shoots out snakes. His symbol is in the shape of a S and the S looks like a snake. He pulls guns out of his stomach and then shoots people he also has a snake grenade and when it blows up and snakes fly out and bite multiple groups of people.

 Jordan and I did a project about a supervillain everyone worked in pairs we discussed our character then made the background and made Snake Guy out of Plasticine and then we used i can animate and imovie to create our character it was a lot of fun.

Poetry

Poetry is a idea of something that someone wants to know about it can be short or long powerful or meaningless.People write poetry to inspire other people to do maybe say the right things to other people.We had to do five activities the first one was terminology which is where we had to look up different words for poetry writing the second was poetry writing which was where we had to choose a specific type of writing and make a poem about it the third one was blackout poetry where we all had to use a marker and erase parts of a piece of paper and try and make a poem task four was where we had to perform a poem we practiced task five was called analysing poems where we had to choose a poem and answer questions and number six was imagery which was where we chose another poem and we had to draw a picture and write what it was about the poem.

My best activity was poetry slam because i liked having fun with my friends and my worst was blackout poetry because i thought i didn't make it a poem.My most challenging activity was imagery because i didn't understand how to do it. I loved performing in front of others  it was fun.My new words i learnt were haiku and stanza.I learnt that working together is better than one.

precepts

At the moment we are reading the book Wonder and we were asked by our teacher in grade 6 at Elkanah to explain what a precept is in our own words and make one of ourselves.

 A Precept

A precept is a saying or a quote that is meaningful to you.

My Precept

We are all perfect in Gods eyes but in others they don't see it clearly.

Someones precept

We are all perfectly imperfect

that precept makes me feel good inside because if everyone was perfect we would not be able to go to school which means we won't

have any friends. 

  

Cricket poem

A day in the life and home of a child in an informal settlement

One cold day I got very chilly because the rain came through our roof.I had to get ready for another bad day at school I hated school,it was the worst.We did not have a big playground but we did have a nice jungle gym and my friend Matt used to bring a soccer ball and we would play for hours on end.When I came home it was comforting because as a fact Matt was next door to us and he had a nice big garden so we would play soccer matches and when it was half time we would go down to the river and collect water at the well.We loved the wise old man’s hut we would go there and ask him questions on what would happen tomorrow and stuff.I liked our village.We also down the road have a strip of grass and mud which is good for growing crops.Next door to Matt’s house on the other side is a boy called Jacob he is a little bit fat and has a ball signed by tshabalala and he is very good at soccer he is our club goalie. About our house we have a nice double story shack but the walls are made of concrete we sleep on the top floor and the parents and kitchen is on the bottom floor.We do however have a small TV that we bought at a yard sale for 799,99 rand with a remote.Yesterday I went with Matt to Jacob’s house we played soccer and ate some toasted Sammies. it was a nice day.Today I’m going to the wise old man’s hut to ask him something.This Monday I’m going to ask mum if I can go to Matt’s house.It is very special because Matt’s Mom is having a baby.So that leaves me at the end of the day but before I go I really want a vegetable garden so my mom can pack me a better lunch.Goodbye.

The angry man

Oh hello their my name is Benny and this is my diary.

We are in a nice house by the sea shore I’ve got two naughty little brothers and two sisters I know it’s a big family but it’s a normal family last week a inspector came over but not just any inspector a music inspector.

His name is Raymond but we call him Ray he doesn’t like that nickname. He calls us brats when we call him Ray I did not know why he doesn’t like the nickname it’s a great nickname to have but proberbly not for an inspector and definitely not for a musical one.

He wears humongous knickerbockers and a hat with curly hair and a posh moustash, he loves to sing I at that time was scared about what was to come but it was fine I passed the test I sang the one about the lamb and the three bags of wool but then he called us stupid Dunderheads for there singing but I can agree there singing was terrible it sounded like a trombone with a pig stuck in it.

But then he left and we all got punished even me but that was fine I was ok with it because I only got one smack but the others got three smacks on the bum so that is the story about the house on the sea shore
